Meet our market dietitian
Sarena Christine Glenn’s passion for EVERYTHING surrounding food inspired her decision to become a dietitian. A Baltimore City native, Sarena enjoys working
with the Edmondson Village Farmers Market and incorporating all of her skills sets in culinary arts and health & wellness promotion.
Sarena practices and encourages others to enjoy a healthy work-life balance. She enjoys relaxing by the ocean, working in church ministries, as well as eating and cooking with family and friends.
Sarena earned a AAS in Culinary Arts and a B.S in Culinary Nutrition with a concentration in Biological Sciences from Johnson & Wales University. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of Maryland Medical Center and then went on to obtain a Master of Health Science degree with dual concentration in School Health and Community Health from Towson University.
With more than 10 years of experience in dietetics, Sarena excels in working with medical teams to administer nutrition therapies, implementing hospital-wide programs, developing educational materials, and teaching about specialized diets which all have resulted in participants’ cooperation in adhering to nutrition recommendations.
Sarena has extensive knowledge of culinary arts in catering, event coordinating, and food service allowing those taught to have a more comprehensive understanding of food service and nutrition principles. Her experiences in management and teaching students about food and hospitality principles and medical nutrition therapies have yielded excellent customer service.
