SNAP & WIC Holders Double Their Spending Power

If you have an Independence Card/ SNAP or if you have a WIC, or Senior Voucher you can double your spending power at the Edmondson Village Farmers Market every Saturday until September 30, 2017.

TIP: Join our VIP text list. We’ll let you know what’s happening in the market each week. AND we’ll send you a reminder every Saturday morning.

Have an Independence Card? You can turn $10 into $25

To use a SNAP, or EBT card – go to the Market Information Tent, tell the staff how much money you would like to spend, and we’ll swipe your EBT or Independence Card for that amount.

Double Your Funds – Turn $10 into $20
For a limited time this summer the International Rescue Committee is giving out matching Fresh Fund Vouchers. We’re matching dollar for dollar, up to $10 per day / market visit.

Special Bonus — You can even turn $10 into $25
The Maryland Farmers Market Association will give you a bonus $1 token for each dollar you spend – up to a maximum of $5 per day / market visit. If you don’t use all your tokens that day, you can save them to use another day. Tokens never expire.

Have a WIC or Senior Voucher?  You can turn $5 into $10

To use WIC or Senior Vouchers – just take your voucher to any of our farmers who accept them. They’ll give you a receipt to redeem at our Market Information Tent, and we’ll give you a bonus $1 token for each dollar you spend – up to a maximum of $5 per day / market visit.

We want to thank the  Maryland Farmers Market Association and the International Rescue Committee for allowing us  to double Maryland Food Supplement Program (also known as Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program, or SNAP) and WIC (also known as Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children) dollars each week.
